Lessons from baking.

Today Sydney and I decided to make cookie. Nothing to out of the ordinary right? Little did I know I was about to be educated things that are very important.

First off it is important to always dress to impress while baking. Sydney was adamant about wearing her "party skirt" today. So... We made cookies while she looked ready to party and I, well didn't.

Second. As the scouts say, Be prepared. I let Sydney help put the ingredients in the bowl which scared me because I am not sure how much of it actually made it in. As you can tell by the stuff covering the chair she stood on to help. Oh well.

Third. Life is not like a box of chocolates, baking with a toddler is. If you look closely and start singing "one of these things is not like the other" you may notice something out of place. Do you see it yet?

Being the ever vigilant person I am I made sure to grab the cheerio out of the mix. By the way I have NO idea where it came from because it was not on the counter when we started. Hmmm.

Then comes the mixing. Its a lot harder than it looks. At least if you are 2. She was determined to keep stirring though and even told me I couldn't help at first.

At last! Time for the sticky messy fun. 20 min later we had a full sheet of cookie bars to enjoy. As is part of the mom creedo I made sue to test it before I let anyone else try them justin case the lack of proper ingredients had a bad outcome. Passed with flying colors. (Whew)
